The Katbobber is my absolute favorite addition to my catfishing arsenal!  It is a relatively large slip bobber that allows the fisherman to present large baits like never before.  They are available in 2 diameters: 2 5/8" and 3 1/2".  Both the Fatkat and Katbobber are available in 2, 3, and 4" lengths.  A 5" length is also available in the Katbobber.  These bobbers are very durable and easy to use.  Since I started using Katbobbers my average size catfish has increased dramatically.  I love the was it opens up so many new areas to fish without the fear of getting snagged fishing on the bottom.  You can set your bait at any depth, fish over heavy cover or rocks and, with a little trial and error, even fish the bottom!  For night fishing, they have a small hole that will accomodate an 8" glowstick (bracelet).

To rig a Katbobber up you will take your mainline and add a bobber stop knot and a bead.  Then, slip on your Katbobber.  Next, slide on another bead or piece of nylon tubing to protect the Katbobber from being damaged by your sinker.  Slide on your sinker.  I like to use 1 oz. of weight per inch of bobber.  Put a bead on to protect your knot and add a swivel.  Last tie up your leader and you are good to go!

If you haven't tried bobber fishing for catfish, you really are missing out!  Get some Katbobbers and catch more fish, they are the best catfishing bobbers on the market!

I was a little skeptical about this product but, after reading review after review I decided to go ahead and spend the 30 buck to get one. It is run by small butane cartridges and small repellant pads, both are easy to replace. Their claim of 12 hours of runtime per refill seems to be pretty accurate. I use it on fishing and camping trips and it works much better than I had expected. Just simply insert the butane cartridge and repellant pad, turn it on, and click the igniter. It does take 15-30 minutes to really start working so I just try to start it up while we are setting up. It is silent and has virtually no odor. The refills are a bit pricey at 9 dollars or so but, I like not having to spray myself and my kids down with sticky chemicals. They are available almost anywhere sporting goods are sold; Walmart, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, and many others. Give this thing a try, I dont think it will dissappoint!
